When aspiring writer Charlie and his sociopath roommate / best friend Robert are strapped for cash, they venture into a life of small-time petty crime. Charlie’s conscience, however, gets the better of him, and things then take a turn for the worse in his relationship with his roommate. When Charlie attempts to back out of their joint criminal endeavors, Robert holds Charlie hostage by using his only hope of escaping from this descent into a life of crime. In the end, Charlie must choose the path that is most important - his lifelong friendship or his future aspirations.
